[September 2024] 🌊 Dive into ‘The Drift,’ our Gen:48 film journey, created in just 48 hours to push the boundaries of AI-driven cinematic storytelling. Collaborating with Hedy Magroun, we crafted a visually striking short film that merges human creativity with the advanced potential of AI.

Over 500 images and 250 videos were generated to bring ‘The Drift’ to life. Every image was generated, retouched, and animated with a suite of tools:

🤖 ChatGPT-4 for research and script writing assistance
🎨 Midjourney & DALL.E for generating visuals
🪄 Adobe Firefly and Photoshop for retouching and enhancing each frame
🎥 Runway for video generation and lip sync
🔊 Epidemic Sound for immersive soundscapes
🗣 ElevenLabs for voiceovers, bringing the characters to life
✨ Magnific AI and Topaz Labs for upscaling and enhancing quality

Our tools roster didn’t stop there; with After Effects adding VFX, every element was carefully orchestrated to deliver a cinematic experience inspired by blockbuster realism.

We competed among over 1,000 submissions at Runway Gen:48, and although we didn’t make the final shortlist of 30 films, I’m truly fascinated by the possibilities AI offers for visual storytelling.
